Now That I've Submitted My Request:
Having submitted a prayer request some may be asking, 'What now?' First, you can rest assured that we will seriously intercede on your behalf. We take seriously God's promise to hear our prayers! Having presented your need before the Lord we will also begin to praise Him for the answer. You can join us in this sacrifice of thanksgiving even before actually receiving the answer. In Daniel 10:2 - 17 there is a record that Daniel's prayer was heard on the first day but it took 21 days for the answer to come. Knowing our prayer has been heard and giving thanks for the answer before we actually receive the answer will strengthen our faith while we wait. Second, why not join us by opening your heart and ask God to meet your need. Scripture says: 'The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.' Psalm 51:17 Third, let us know when you receive the answer to your prayer request. It is important that we give thanks and praise to God for answers to prayer. Your testimony of God's help will encourage someone else to trust the Lord when they are in need. Letting us know your prayer was answered will allow us to celebrate with you, remove your request from our prayer request safe and give thanks to God. In Luke 17:12 - 19 there is a story of Jesus healing ten lepers. Only one of them returned to give thanks while the other nine took God's grace for granted. Let's be like the one and give thanks!
Sincerely,
Pastor Harlyn Purdy
